Free Consultation
A complimentary 15-minute call
A chance to talk about what brings you here, ask questions, and decide together whether we're a good fit — before you schedule anything.
A private-pay practice
I set aside insurance requirements so we can shape therapy around your needs — the length, frequency, and focus of our work, decided together. For many families, this also means greater privacy, flexibility, and continuity of care.
Insurance & Medicare
I do not accept insurance or Medicare, and I don't bill or contact insurance providers on your behalf. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed receipt ("superbill") you may submit for possible reimbursement.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I operate as a private-pay practice so I can provide care based on your needs rather than insurance requirements. This allows us to determine the length, frequency, and focus of therapy together without limitations imposed by insurance companies.
For many clients and families, this also offers greater privacy, flexibility, and continuity of care.
-
No. I do not participate with medicare and cannot bill Medicare for psychotherapy services.
If you have questions about what this means for your specific situation, I'm happy to discuss it during our consultation.
-
Because I do not bill insurance, payment is made directly to my practice.
Some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. If your plan does, I can provide a detailed receipt (sometimes called a "superbill") that you may submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance plan.
Medicare beneficiaries generally cannot seek reimbursement from Medicare for services provided through my private-pay practice.
-
Clients often appreciate that private-pay therapy offers:
Greater privacy because no diagnosis or treatment information is submitted to an insurance company.
Treatment based on clinical need rather than insurance authorization.
Flexibility in scheduling and the pace of therapy.
More individualized care without insurance restrictions.
-
Many clients view therapy as an investment in their emotional well-being, relationships, and quality of life.
Whether you're adjusting to a diagnosis, coping with caregiving, grieving a loss, or navigating major life changes, therapy provides dedicated time to receive support, develop practical strategies, and care for your own emotional health.

Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
This is an opportunity for us to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit before scheduling your first appointment.
-
My practice specializes in older adults, as well as family caregivers and adult children who are supporting an aging loved one.
Many caregivers seek therapy for themselves—not because they're doing something wrong, but because caregiving can become emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausting.
-
Not at all.
Many people begin therapy because they want support navigating life's changes before they become overwhelming. Others come when they're facing caregiver stress, a new medical diagnosis, retirement, grief, family conflict, or difficult decisions about assisted living or memory care.
-
You don't have to navigate these challenges alone.
Whether your loved one has Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, stroke-related cognitive changes, or another neurological condition, therapy can provide guidance, emotional support, and a place to process the many changes caregiving brings.
-
All appointments are conducted through secure telehealth.
Telehealth allows you to receive specialized geriatric psychotherapy from the comfort and privacy of your home, making it especially convenient for older adults and busy caregivers.
-
The first step is simply reaching out.
We'll schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your concerns, answer your questions, and help you decide whether my practice is the right fit for you.
If it is, we'll arrange your first appointment and begin working together at a pace that feels comfortable.
